ALEXA LIFE HACK SKILL
Wellness Tracker is an Alexa skill that is a simple and easy life hack that can track your daily and weekly physical activities. You can enable this skill from the Alexa Skills store. Afterwards simply say "Alexa, open Wellness Tracker" to begin.
SETUP
The first time you open Wellness Tracker it will assign you a unique and anonymous ID number, which will allow you to view your results online at "https://beepytracker.weebly.com/". You can ask Wellness Tracker for your ID at any time by asking "What is my identification number?". You can ask Wellness Tracker for the website by saying "What is the website?".
Next Wellness Tracker will ask you to set your time zone. The only time zones that are possible at this time are Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, and Greenwich mean time. You can ask Wellness Tracker what your time zone is, or you can reset your time zone at any time. For example, you can say "Set time zone to Eastern". At this time, the default time zone is Eastern.
ACTIVITY MINUTES
There are several ways to tell Wellness Tracker about your activity minutes, but you must include at the number of minutes and the type of activity (be sure to use minutes instead of hours). Activities may be either moderate or vigorous intensity. For example, you can say "add ten minutes moderate" or "add twenty minutes vigorous".
Wellness Tracker, however, knows that certain activities are either moderate or vigorous activities. For example, you can say "add thirty minutes yoga", Wellness Tracker will add thirty minutes to your moderate activity minutes for the day. Or you could say "add sixty minutes soccer" and Wellness Tracker will add sixty minutes to your vigorous activity minutes for the day.
Some activities, such as running, can be either moderate or vigorous activities. If you say one of these activities, Wellness Tracker will ask if it is moderate or vigorous. A complete list of activities can be found at "https://beepytracker.weebly.com/activities". You can also ask Wellness Tracker if an activity is moderate or vigorous. For example, you can say "Is walking vigorous or moderate?".
TOTALS
You can ask Wellness Tracker for the totals of your daily and weekly activity minutes by saying "what are my totals?". Wellness Tracker will also tell you when you reach a total of 75 minutes of adjusted activities for the week, which we call "silver", or even better when you reach a total of 150 minutes of adjusted activities, which we call "gold". These are the levels that the United States Department of Health and Human Services and others say provide physical activity benefits for people of all ages and different physical conditions.
You can see a visual representation of your daily and weekly results by going to "https://beepytracker.weebly.com/" and using your ID number. Note that on this page your weekly results will be shown in the left column, and they will be shaded either silver or gold if you reach that level of minutes.
If you make a mistake, or if Wellness Tracker misunderstands what you say, you can subtract minutes from either the daily total for moderate or vigorous activities. You can say "delete ten minutes moderate" or "delete twenty minutes from vigorous". You can say the activity instead of saying either moderate or vigorous. For example, you can say "delete thirty minutes of soccer".
